The original version was created when artist Erasmo's three oldest sons left to serve missions in Texas, Portugal, and Spain. The life-sized monument, that was commissioned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is displayed at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, where missionaries have been trained for over 50 years.
